THE SEA SYSTEM

The future of finfish aquaculture....
The SEA System was developed by Future SEA Technologies Inc.
to create a controlled rearing environment for finfish aquaculture. The
flexible, round, water-tight enclosure is supplied with pumped water that
can be drawn from optimum locations to regulate temperature, oxygen levels
and overall water quality.
- Regulate Water Flow
- Avoid Toxic Algae
- Manage Water Quality
- Reduce Disease Transmission
The SEA System provides Improved Production including:
- Better Feed Conversions
- Increased Growth Rate
- Higher Culture Densities
- Superior Flesh Quality
- Reduced Production Costs
The SEA System is Cost Effective Sustainable Aquaculture that
provides:
- Waste Management Capabilities
- Highly Efficient Pumping
- Isolated Culture Opportunities
- Photoperiod Manipulation Abilities
- Minimal Escapement
- Predator Protection
THE SEA SYSTEM II

Advantages of SEA System II
INCREASED FLEXIBILITY:
The new SEA System II universal flotation system will enable you
to increase or decrease float diameters as your requirements change. As
your production increases, you may look towards purchasing larger bags.
Instead of buying a whole new set of floats your existing SEA System II
floatation ring can be expanded to fit bags from 8 to 19 meters in diameter.
Now you can choose either a HYDRAULIC OR ELECTRIC PUMPING STATION with
the new SEA System II, whichever is more effective for your situation.
EASIER OPERATION WITH IMPROVED CONTROL:
The SEA System II with it's patented pumping station improves control
of water flow. Oxygen control within the bag is achieved using the SEA
System II OXYGEN SYSTEM.
INCREASED RELIABILITY:
Pumping reliability is built into the new DUPLEX PUMPING STATIONS. Adjustable
intakes enable selection of water sources for improved control of water
quality.
WASTE MANAGEMENT:
The newest version of our patented waste trap is effective in removing
a high percentage of solid wastes. The SEA System II WASTE CONCENTRATOR
can be designed to store up to one week's waste and increases the solids
content for more efficient handling. The output of the waste concentrator
can be pumped ashore or into a holding container prior to removal.
REDUCED INSTALLATION TIME & COST:
With the development of the NEW MOORING CONCEPT the SEA System II
can be moored a number of different ways all of which are compatible with
your feeding systems. Modules can be moored independently, in a grid or
in conventional steel walkways.
APPLICATIONS
The SEA System II has been used to successfully
grow Atlantic salmon, Rainbow trout, Arctic char, Steelhead, Chinook salmon
and Coho salmon. The SEA System II has application to other species
as well in both cold and warm water aquaculture.
- BROODSTOCK MANAGEMENT - The SEA System II enables you to
control parameters such as oxygen that are critical for the survival
of your most valued fish. The SEA System II also enables you to
select cooler water for your broodstock, which has been shown to increase
egg viability, resulting in higher yields. Recent research on Atlantic
salmon has shown that water temperature below 13º in the summer
can improve egg viability in the fall.
- SMOLT PRODUCTION - A specially modified version of the SEA System
II has been designed to produce different species of salmon smolts
more effectively than lake net pen rearing and with far less capital
investment than land based systems. The SEA System II enables
you to utilize a number of techniques such as daylight extension to
produce off-season smolts. Other special features of the SEA System
II enable you to produce larger smolts. The SEA System II
will help you fill in the gaps in your year round production, improving
your cash flow and profitability.
- COMMERCIAL GROW OUT - Research indicates that you can grow healthier
market ready fish more rapidly. Faster growth rates achieved in the
SEA System II enable you to get your fish to market sooner increasing
profits and giving you increased control over your marketing. Improved
feed conversion as demonstrated by Future SEA Technologies has the ability
to lower production costs.
Risks to which the fish are exposed during conventional net pen farming
are minimized using this technology. SEA System II has the ability
to control water quality, by managing oxygen and temperature and avoiding
potentially lethal conditions often found at the water's surface such
as hazardous algal blooms and superchill. Early stage research indicates
the infestation rate by certain parasites, sea lice for example, can
be substantially reduced. Predation by visual predators is sharply reduced.
Mortalities have been reduced in all studies to date.
- PRE-PROCESSING HOLDING - The SEA System II is a practical
way of holding or conditioning your fish prior to processing. Our system
not only protects your fish from many harmful conditions, but also enables
the fish to be held at lower temperatures prior to processing. The SEA
System II enables you to protect your fish from certain external
factors that until now; you had no control over.
