UPWELLING PUMP

BENEFITS & APPLICATIONS
Utilizing their patented pumping station (US Pat. 5,681,146), Future
SEA Technologies Inc. has developed the highly efficient Upwelling Pump
for the special needs of the aquaculture industry. The intent of this
pump is to provide more suitable water to net pens when adverse conditions
are present and to provide water circulation in bodies of water or large
tanks.
Benefits:
- High efficiency and low operating costs (70,000 lpm @ 9 kW)
- Simple and low maintenance
- Lightweight - easy to transport from site to site (approx. 590
kg)
- Large dispersion of water
- Hydraulic or electric motor
- Adaptable to existing net pen systems (steel or plastic)
- Year-round performance
- Provides it's own floatation
Applications - Water dispersion will allow
for:
- Assistance during hazardous algal blooms (surface)
- Oxygen supplementation
- Ice control
- More desirable water temperatures
- Active circulation of water for site remediation
- Control of water conditions with the use of plankton tarps
- Waste water applications
